Urgent Treatment Centre

An Urgent Treatment Centre is available for patients registered at Beech Tree Surgery. It is located at Selby War Memorial Hospital (see link below for directions).

The Urgent Treatment Centre is open seven days per week 8am to 8pm. The type of problems the centre can help with are:

Colds, flu like symptoms

Sore throat

Eye infections

Ear infections

Coughs/Chest infections

Urinary tract infections

Emergency contraception

Minor skin complaints/rashes

Uncomplicated diarrhoea and vomiting

Sprains & strains

Broken bones

Bites & stings

Infected wounds

Minor head injuries

Eye problems

Cuts and grazes


Conditions more appropriate for registered GP include:

Chronic illness/condition complications

Pregnancy related symptoms

Illness related to ongoing health problems e.g. undergoing investigation, awaiting/known to a speciality


The X-ray department at Selby War Memorial Hospital is open 9am to 4pm
